About Florham Park

FLORHAM PARK

Welcome to the Borough of Florham Park, "A Community of Volunteers." Florham Park is a small suburban community located in Southeastern Morris County, approximately 30 miles west of New York City. We are bordered on the south by Madison and Chatham Boroughs; on the north by Hanover and East Hanover Townships; on the west by Morris Township; and on the east by the Passaic River, The Borough is 7.6 square miles in size, and has a population of 12,605.

Residents enjoy good schools, a wide variety of recreational activities, and many activities such as our Summer Gazebo Concerts and our awesome 4th of July Parade and Fireworks Display. Florham Park’s convenient location to trains, buses, and major airports, and a friendly small-town atmosphere make it easy to understand why Florham Park is one of Morris County’s most desirable communities to live in. The New York JETS recently completed construction of a State of the Art Training Facility and Corporate Headquarters in Florham Park and now consider Florham Park home.

COMMUNITY RESOURCES

Florham Park Volunteer Fire Dept.

When you need them, they are here for you. Now they need you!  The Florham Park Volunteer Fire Department needs your help. As residents of the Borough of Florham Park, your fire and rescue needs are provided by the Florham Park Volunteer Fire Department 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. At the present time, they are recruiting new members to support their current and future needs. Being a member provides the opportunity to assist and help our borough's citizens and businesses in time of emergencies and special needs.

The time you devote as a Volunteer Firefighter is based on your own schedule and availability. There are some minimum requirements for monthly training meetings and drills. Training exercises are usually held the second, third and fourth Monday of the month. Basic training includes classes at the Morris County Fire Academy where you will graduate with a certification as a New Jersey Firefighter. There are unlimited opportunities for continued training based on your individual interests.

Free Life Alert Services

The Rotary Club of Florham Park offers a “life alert” service to Seniors in our area.  This service is free of charge.  They will provide a life alert unit for your home that will be connected directly to the Florham Park Police Department for you to use in the event of an emergency.  Please call Rich Tierney at 973-822-0411 for more detailed information on how to obtain a life alert unit.
