Dear Unit Owners:
The Fire Safety Resolution was passed at the Annual Open Meeting in December 2010, filed in February 2011 and delivered to all unit owners in March 2011.  There was some confusion among unit owners about this resolution.  Hopefully the following will clarify any questions you may have. As many of you are aware, the Board has advocated the need for all gas dryer vents to be vented to the outside of the buildings.  Currently many gas dryer exhaust vents are terminating inside the units.  The Board has discussed this issue with the Florham Park Fire Inspector and was advised that the current Fire Code, the International Mechanical Code, requires venting of clothes dryers to the outside of the buildings.  Section 504.4 of the Code states that:
“Exhaust installation. Dryer exhaust ducts for clothes dryers shall terminate on the outside of the building, shall not terminate within 3 feet of a ventilated section in a soffit, and shall be equipped with a back draft damper. Screens shall not be installed at the duct termination. Ducts shall not be connected or installed with sheet metal screws or other fasteners that will obstruct the exhaust flow. Clothes dryer exhaust ducts shall not be connected to a vent connector, vent, or chimney. Clothes dryer exhaust ducts shall not extend into or pass through ducts or plenums.”

Monday, October 27th to Friday, November 21st
Donations to the Interfaith Food Pantry
More than 5,000 families in Morris County rely on the Interfaith Food Pantry for supplemental groceries year round. As the holidays approach, the Food Pantry compiles baskets with food items to make a complete holiday meal. Together we can make a difference in our larger community! Belantrae Residents are asked to drop off non-perishable food at the Belantrae Office Mon., Tues., Wed. and Friday between the hours of 9am-2pm .  We will also accept checks made out to the Interfaith Food Pantry. Financial donations allow the pantry to purchase items when necessary. Please try to deliver your donation no later than November 21st  if at all possible.
Here is a list of food the Food Pantry currently needs:
Stuffing; instant potatoes; roll or muffin mix; apple, cranberry or other fruit juice; canned fruit; pie crust; nuts, pickles, little marshmallows, salad dressing, etc…; coffee or tea; cake mix and icing or brownie mix; Parmalat; and powdered or evaporated milk.
Other urgent needs:
